A man who has a crush on Pop singer Taylor swift attempted to impress her by throwing cash he had just robbed from a bank over her fence, according to police.
Bruce Rowley, from Derby, Connecticut, has been charged with robbing a bank in Ansonia on the 4th of April.
According to police officers, “It seemed he wanted to propose” to the singer so he drove to her home in Rhode Island and started throwing some of the $1,600 (£1,128) he is charged with stealing over the fence.
The 26-year-old was identified by two witnesses as he robbed the Webster Bank at 200 Division St. in Ansonia.
“After identifying Rowley as the person involved in the robbery, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and search warrants for Rowley, his residence and the car Rowley used during the robbery, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee,” Ansonia police said via Fox News.
“The Ansonia Police Department entered the Jeep into a nationwide database as wanted.”
Rhode Island State Police found Rowley driving the Jeep south on Interstate 95 and attempted to stop the car. After he was arrested, Rowley confessed to committing the robbery.
Rowley was charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny and was held on a $100,000 (£70,400) bond
